2. Oct 13,  · I plugged into my Rivera Knucklehead Tre W Half Stack about a half hour ago, and I was playing pretty loudly like usual and I noticed a sudden decrease in volume. It wasn't too noticeable, just like a tiny bit less volume. Then, things started to get weird, and the amp started making a terrible crackling noise and it was CRAZY loud!

I know that I will have to use some sort of amp to run the rca out from the receiver to the amp and plug the sub into.

I’m using First off, i’d like to ask if you think upgrading to is that much better or should I leave well enough alone. Secondly, if there was a tragedy do you think Guitar Centre would give me a problem about fixing the problem.

6. Make sure both the subwoofer and the amplifier are turned off and disconnected from the power source. You'll then need to connect your amplifier to your speakers. On the back of your amplifier, you should find the speaker outputs. Connect your speaker wires to these outputs -- one into each output. The speaker wires are usually just bare wire ends.
